Yeah, life is full of cliches... Things, people, places, words don't seem to impress much anymore and not even mean as much as they should... What is the consequence of that in our lives??? I believe that, that is when we start to take life for granted...
If a friend is suportive, He or She is doing his/her job... If you have a great dad, he is just fulfilling his obligation... A sunset becomes just another reason to go home after work... We complain about the sunrise because it means a new day is starting... Everything around is nothing but a big blur... We meet someone nice and S/He becomes just someone else you know... Talking for hours seems like a waste of time... and expressions that once meant something become dust or object of ridicule...
I don't quite remember the first time I saw "The dead poets society"... However I remember watching it in college and acting out a scene from it... I actually played the teacher at the time... That teacher that Robin Williams played so brilliantly has always been a role model for me... as a person and as a teacher too...
I once saw in on a sitcom someone making fun of the boy that killed himself for not being able to do what he had always dreamed of... I can't remember the show right now (ahhhhh the people that know me, know how much I hate myself for that lol - OMG I just remembered :D)...
It was an episode of "friends" (where else?? right?? lol) called "The one with the fake monica", during the first season... The fake Monica from the title says that the movie took two hours of her life that she could never get back and says: "...that thing at the end where the kid kills himself because he can't be in the play? What was that?! It's like, kid, wait a year, leave home, do some community theatre."
I have to admit I laughed at that and I have to say it is quite a smart one... but regardless, I don't agree with it...
life is not meant to be wasted, its meant to be lived at its fullest... that kid's story was extreme, but the times were different...
Carpe Diem is a cliche... but when it comes to using a cliche, I would stick to that one... its meaning its much deeper than it's cliche status...
Today I complete 1 year in israel... I come full circle in the first of many cycles I plan to live in Eretz... The best decision I have ever made and the biggest life change...
Don't coast, postpone, procrastinate, don't take it for granted... Live, cry, laugh, fight, fall, get up, dance, jump, love, lust the most you can with no regrets...
CARPE DIEM...

Getting Personal . Lists . Opinion . Random
18 days since my last post...
8 days since my first day at work...
11 months and 25 days since I left Brazil...

13 months since I saw my grandparents...
1 year and 4 months since the greatest carnival ever...
9 months since I started school...
3 hours since I last saw my dad...
2 days to my next day at work...
6 days to my next exam...
42 days until I turn 25 years old...
more than an year until I visit loved ones in Brazil...
5 years and 42 days for me reach the 30 mark...
2 years to my graduation...
3 hours until my next night out with the girls...
3 months for the summer to be over...
Time, a constant variable... what does it really mean???
"time changes everything"... Does it?? Don't we change in time??? Who really does the action here?? If we stay put for 10 years, the world around us will have changed... but what about us???
Time doesn't change anything... but it definatelly gives us the chance to change and it is up to us to take that chance or not...
I am not the same person I was 10 years ago... The essence is still there and we all do mature through time and life experiences... I like to think I have grown, that I have become someone I am proud to be... a happy person inside and outside...
Being happy is not a constant... people can go through all their lives and never have a happy moment... no one is happy all the time... Im sorry Charlotte... but, no one...
life is made of moments and when you have more happy moments than sad ones... The math is simple, isnt it???
but life is not simple, life is not black and white... life is purple, orange, neon and baby blue... life has shades and tones that we never saw before... life surprises us everyday, every moment... Taking advantage of those surprises is what makes for a full life... not standing in the side lines and taking charge of our own future...
Not everyone has that hunger for life and experiences... I have met a few of those people throughout my life... they are usually content people that dont aim for much higher than they have... When our paths crossed I noticed that we were incompatible exactly because of that... it doenst mean I cant be their friend, but its definatelly not easy... that stillness of being, bothered me...
I remember a chat I had with two friends on the beach once... one of them was like me... wants to see the world and has no limits for growth... the other didnt even think about ever traveling abroad, she didnt care for it... it was weird for me... seeing someone that content with so little... little for me... not for her...
That's what make people so interesting in my opinion... what would be of the green if wasnt for the purple... the diversity keeps it all interesting... we learn from everyone around us and that is amazing...
Me??? Im gonna keep aiming higher and higher... living life as much as I can... taking each moment in and taking chances along the way... right until that counter hits zero on the countdown timer of MY life...
What are YOU going to do????

Award Shows . Opinion . Random
I love award shows... they are so detached from reality and at the same time so entertaining... (which I just realized is the perfect combination :P)
Everything that the OSCARs has of formality, The MTV Movie Awards has of Informality... Which makes the whole experience much more fun...
I started to write this post while I was watching the show LIVE on MTV... so, I can say this is the freshest post EVER... lol...
More than half way through the show I had the feeling that MTV was doing an amazing job with it... I was wrong... Sorry, I did enjoy most of it... But, certain parts were really dragged on...
OK... Ill make it clearer..
THE BEST:
- Johnny Depp getting two awards and actually being there to receive them
- Tom Cruise Kneeling down to give Adam Sandler? the MTV generation award (obviously for the "I trimmed my bush" video)
- The Sarah Jessica Parker and Jennifer Hudson Moment
- Skit by Jack Black, Ben Stiller and Robert Downey Jr.
- PCD performance
- Wayne's World is BACK
- Rihanna's lack of a sense of humor (sadly funny)
- Robert Hoffman and Briana Revigan (Step up 2) kissing
- Robert Downey being a diva (very cool) and Jack Black being a groupie while Ben Stiller stood there being jealous hahahahahhaha
THE WORST:
- Lindsay Lohan
- Coldplay
- Mike Myer's skits
- Adam Sandler's song
I guess I was wrong... and I admit it... The best hs surpassed the worst... by far...
I stand corrected hehe
THE WINNERS:
Best Female Performance ------- Ellen Page (Juno) - Fair!
Best Male Performance --------- Will Smith (I am Legend) - I haven't seen it...
Best Fight -------------------- Sean Farris Vs. Cam Gigandet (I have no idea)
Best Summer Movie So Far------- Iron Man - Fair (but I loved SATC)
Best Comedic Performance------- Johnny Depp (Pirates of the...) - Hell Yeah!!!
Best Breakthrough Performance - Zac Efron (Hairspray) - WTF???
Best Villain ------------------ Johnny Depp (Sweeney Todd) - Hell Yeah!!! X2
Best Kiss --------------------- Brian Revigan/Robert Hoffman (Step up 2) - HOT!!!
Best Movie -------------------- Transformers - WTF??????????
Did I miss something??? Where are the "best action sequence", "best dance scene" awards????
It was TOO SHORT...
QUOTES:
"Iron Man rocks, only 'till Dark Knight hits theaters" - Ben Stiller's "Nephew"
"I say "han..." you say..." - Jason Bateman
"Tila Tequila puts her hand down someone's pants and likes whatever she finds there" - Wayne
"That's what she said" - audience member

Charlotte pregenant? Steve cheats? Samantha wants her sexy neighbor? well, that was expected :P... Carrie MARRIES Mr. Big... yes, people... if you read this far or if you saw the movie you know it...
Im not a movie reviewer, bringing the movie up has a deeper value than just stating how much I loved it...
EVERY girl out there has her Mr. Big... The man of their dreams that come and go for months, years, decades... Carrie, after 10 long years finaly got him for good... it wasnt easy, a LOT of tears streamed down her face... but she made it through and love spoke louder...
Are gonna have that??? Are we going to marry our Mr. Bigs? In my case, will I ever have a Mr. Big??? I don't have the answer for that... but I cant imagine a girl out there that didn't connect with that situation...
The road to hapiness is a tortuous one... but do not give up... I bealive it's all worth it... for better or for worse...
Ps: Charlotte "barking" at Mr. Big after he left Carrie at the altar... PERFECTION...
NEWS... The is a 2nd movie in the works... I can't wait for it, part 2...
What did you think of the movie????? or should I say Moviement????
