Hey everyone!
This week we have a very interesting theme, one that has been extremely hard for me.
I realized I tend to root for the winning team most of the time and by the time a series ends, the hero and heroine I am rooting for are together.
So, for the purposes of this list i shall look at series or individual books in a series where by the end of the book, the Hero with which the Heroine ended up is not my final choice.

I don't like Bill and even in that first novel i wasn't on his team all the way... So, Sookie ending up with him then was not for me hehe
Morgan & Brian
Morgan Kingsley Series by Jenna Black
The series is over and it is the only example of a series that didn't end up how I really wanted. I know it was canceled and it didn't get a proper send off, but still LOL
Nothing against Brian, but for me Morgan deserved better =D
Justine & Otto
The Disillusionists Trilogy by Carolyn Crane
I was never team Otto, and Justine ending this book with him did not please me to say the least =P
October & Quentin
October Daye Series by Seanan Mcguire
Love Toby and I am totally team Tybalt, so she sort of ending up with Quentin in this book did not make me happy.
Cassandra & Mircea
Cassie Palmer Series by Karen Chance
A lot of people don't agree with me, but Mircea is too manipulative and sleek for me, I am totally Team Pritkin!

When I saw the theme I was like: "Wow. I can't remember a couple that should not have ended up together." and then I read your list and turns out, I totally agree. Specially about Mircea and Cassie. They are all about the power and the sex. Doesn't seem to be much feeling involved. Well, finger crossed for the next book. Team Pritkin all the way!!

I know! I end up with some themes sometimes that I think Im never gonna be able to find 5 to list, but I it ends up working out LOL

totally agree about Jusine & Otto and Bill + Sookie though. What were they thinking (and why did I once root for both those couples!?! I am so ashamed!) lol

I am with you on Bill & Sookie. I actually only read the first two books too. I haven't read any of the other books, so I just skimmed it so there wouldn't be spoilers for me.
I like this idea but I haven't read any of the books other than Mind Games. I don't think Justine and Otto will last, or at least I really hope they don't. :)
I have a topic suggestion for you! How about Top Five Ghostly Novels? Not necessarily books where the main characters are ghosts, but where they encounter them a lot. :)
I only recognized the Sookie Stackhouse books and Cassie Palmer books. This is an interesting Top Five post. Great idea!
