I&#39;m really curious where Harris is going with her next book since on her blog she made it sound like the end of book 8 was majorly changed from her original plan. Do you think getting the book of short stories is worth it? I&#39;m late to the Sookie Stackhouse game also. I read book 3 a couple of months ago and I still wasn&#39;t impressed. I won book 4 recently and I hope that the series starts to get better. Bill can suck it, as far as I&#39;m concerned.<br /><br />It is a fun series - but I think half the brilliance of Charlaine Harris&#39;s writing is that she keeps things so funny and sexy, but she also has a lot of deeper meanings. Like the whole &#39;Light of Day&#39; institute and the politics of vampires &#39;coming out of the coffin&#39;. It&#39;s all an examination of prejudice. I think Ms. Harris is one clever woman.<br /><br />And I see you&#39;re reading the new Eileen Wilks! I actually started reading the books because a friend of mine insisted I take book one home with me. It was our joint birthday party and I was wasted.
