Ok guys, so I cheated on my list today and I came up with 11 picks {I LOVE the number 11}… but I divided into two categories with 5 picks each and one special mention.

The categories are series that have ended and series that are still going on =)

*in no particular order

Still Going On Series:

Mortal Instruments Series

the-mortal-instruments-series-1-3-audiobook-17184

This was one series I honestly thought was over, but thankfully we’re getting 3 more books!

It’s such a great series with a lot of action, a great and scary villain, not to mention an awesome hero and heroin!

Curse Workers Series

 curse workers

This is a recent one to me, but it’s such a great one!

It’s an out of the box world with a very uncommon hero that you can’t help but love.

Morganville Vampires Series

 Morganville vamps

Amazing series that i hope never ends hehe!

Iron Fey Series

IRON-QUEEN-the-iron-fey-series-17497866-400-201

Even me not being a huge Fey fan, this series captured my heart and The Iron Knight can’t come soon enough.

Soul Screamers Series

 Soul Screamers Series

A great series that doesn’t follow the norm when it comes to paranormal world or the path the characters are taking. Awesome!

Finished Series:

Secret Circle Trilogy

the-secret-circle-series

Vampire Diaries is NOT my favorite LJ Smith series, at all! She has amazing ones and The Secret Circle is definitely one of them!

Darkest Powers Trilogy

darkest powers

I know, I know, there is going to be another YA trilogy in the same world, but this story with these characters as protagonists is over and it was an amazing ride!

Dark Visions Trilogy

7314519

My favorite LJ Smith series!!! This is such an awesome trilogy!

If you haven’t read this one, you so totally should!

Harry Potter Series

 Complete-Harry-Potter-Series-Ebooks-Collections

Do I need to say more? Like, seriously?

Vampire Academy  Series

vampire academy series

Such great books, with such incredibly strong and heartbreaking characters!

Richelle Mead can do NO wrong!

Special Mention:

Nightworld Series

NightWorld Series

I Love this series, but the final and 10th book was supposed to have been released over 10 years ago =(

ARC Review: Red Glove {Curse Workers, #2} by Holly Black

14 Lovely Comments!

After rescuing his brothers from Zacharov's retribution and finding out that Lila, the girl he has loved his whole life, will never, ever be his now that his mother has worked her, Cassel is trying to reestablish some kind of normalcy in his life. That was never going to be easy for someone from a worker family tied to one of the big crime families and a mother whose cons get more reckless by the day. But Cassel is also coming to terms with what it means to be a transformation worker and figuring out how to have friends.
But normal doesn't last very long--soon Cassel is being courted by both sides of the law and is forced to confront his past. A past he remembers only in scattered fragments and one that could destroy his family and his future. Cassel will have to decide whose side he wants to be on because neutrality is not an option. And then he will have to pull off his biggest con ever to survive.

Red Glove (Curse Workers, Book 2)

*Contain Spoilers for the previous book in the series.

After the crazy cliffhanger in White Cat, I was extremely happy that I had Red Glove waiting in the wings. I will say that you White Cat fans, will NOT be disappointed!

Red Glove starts off a few months after the events in White Cat. Cassel’s mom is out of jail and finishing up the summer in Atlantic City with Cassel, coning rich men out of their money. Cassel goes back to school soon and has to deal with a surprised, Lila is also studying there and his plan of avoiding her, after his mom worked her to love him, goes down the drain.

Not only that, but FBI agents want Cassel to help solve a murder that might be part of a series of murders and Zacharov wants to hire him to do his dirty work. Cassel finds himself in an impossible situation with no one to trust but his friends Sam and Daneca, even though that he can’t never tell the whole truth to them.

Red Glove is such an awesome book! White Cat set the bar very high, but Red Glove is right up there, with an awesome plot and Cassel more devious than ever. More secrets come out, more lies are told and another amazing book is ready to be devoured. If you loved White Cat as much as I did, Red Glove is a must read!

Review: White Cat {Curse Workers, #1} by Holly Black

19 Lovely Comments!

510sRarGh9L

Cassel comes from a family of curse workers — people who have the power to change your emotions, your memories, your luck, by the slightest touch of their hands. And since curse work is illegal, they're all mobsters, or con artists. Except for Cassel. He hasn't got the magic touch, so he's an outsider, the straight kid in a crooked family. You just have to ignore one small detail — he killed his best friend, Lila, three years ago.

Ever since, Cassel has carefully built up a façade of normalcy, blending into the crowd. But his façade starts crumbling when he starts sleepwalking, propelled into the night by terrifying dreams about a white cat that wants to tell him something. He's noticing other disturbing things, too, including the strange behavior of his two brothers. They are keeping secrets from him, caught up in a mysterious plot. As Cassel begins to suspect he's part of a huge con game, he also wonders what really happened to Lila. Could she still be alive? To find that out, Cassel will have to out-con the conmen.

Holly Black has created a gripping tale of mobsters and dark magic where a single touch can bring love — or death — and your dreams might be more real than your memories.

*SPOILER FREE

Wow, just wow! I had heard so many amazing things about White Cat, but I have been having a hard time getting into Y.A. and ended up waiting so long to finally read it. I was lucky enough to get a chance to read Red Glove through the Simon & Schuster Galley Grab program and decided that it was about time I buckled down and read White Cat and I am happy to say I loved it!

Cassel is the only “normal” person, if you can consider an expert con-man normal, from a family of Curse Workers. Because he doesn’t really fit in into his own family, Cassel has spent his whole life trying to blend in. However, knowing that three years before he killed the girl he loved, doesn’t really help. When one night he wakes up on the ledge of the roof of his school, he realizes that there is something very wrong and all signs point to a conspiracy created by the people he should be able to trust the most in the world.

White Cat is the first book in an incredible series by Holly Black. Holly has created an amazing world full of lovable criminals and lies that you can’t help but be fascinated by. Cassel is not your regular leading man, however you can’t help but feel drawn to his charm and awkwardness at times. He is the last person you’d consider a hero, but with so many deception in his world, he is definitely not the worst choice.

White Cat is a brilliant book that took me completely off  guard and made me fall in love with a con-man and his friends. If you enjoy Paranormal Y.A. and haven’t read White Cat, I totally recommend it!Lovey_5
